More Happy Endings
Angel
Angel is a very sweet tri coloured sheltie who acts much younger than her 10 years. She was surrendered due as her previous owner has health issues and was not longer able to care for her. Angel is very healthy and still loves to play frisbee and go for walks. She is very well mannered and a joy to be with. She is truly a velcro type dog who wants to be right with her people. Angel is totally housetrained and crate trained. She lives very comfortably with other well mannered dogs and is very respectful of cats.
Angel has been adopted by a wonderful couple who also have an 11 year old sheltie
Ashley

Ashley is a young bi black sheltie who was surrendered when her human parents broke up and could no longer care for her. She is gentle, playful and full of fun. Ashley has been adopted to a wonderful family who have another sheltie and a cat to keep her company.
Kylie

Kylie is a lovely young tri coloured sheltie. Her elderly owner became unable to care for her and so Kyle came into rescue. Kylie was soon matched up with a wonderful 'mom' who is giving her all the attention and care she needs. She has another dog to play with and is going for lots of walks.
Lady

Lady is a vibrant Sheltie/American Eskimo cross. Her previous owner realized she had become too busy to look after Lady properly and so surrendered her to Alberta Sheltie Rescue. Lady loves all people, dogs and cats. She was quickly adopted by a wonderful family who has another one of our Shelties. The two dogs are having so much fun playing together and with the cats in the family.
Miss Molly

Miss Molly is a 7 year old sable Sheltie who's previous family's work schedules changed and they felt she was spending far too much time alone. Miss Molly has quickly adjusted to her new forever home. Miss Molly still has lots of energy and is always ready to play with her new brother Herc. They both go for lots of walks and runs with their 'Mom' and provide her with much entertainment and good company.
Smokie

Smoke arrived thin, unhealthy and full of parasites. He was adopted by his foster family and is now a healthy adult, much loved by his family. Smoke has grown into a magnificent strikingly marked Sheltie.
Adopted in 2007
Brooke

has been very fortunate to find an amazing forever home. Her wonderful family is willing to help her with her skin issues as well as giving her all the love and guidance she needs. Brooke is already blossoming under their good care.
Shelby

Shelby was a very shy and terrified 1 year old sheltie when he was surrendered to Alberta Sheltie Rescue. He has been adopted by a wonderful family who are happy and patient enough to help him develop into the confident fellow that he should be. Shelby quickly wormed his way into their hearts.
Bailey
Bailey was a fiesty 3 year old sheltie who came into rescue with her
mom, Hanna, when their human mom passed away unexpectantly. Bailey has
her forever home with a wonderful family who recently had to say goodbye
to their elderly sheltie. With 2 teenagers to play with and a mom and
dad to spoil her, Bailey is a very happy sheltie again (especially when
she gets to play in the sprinkler).
Hanna

Hanna is Bailey's mom and she is now thriving under the good care of her very kind human 'dad'. Hanna has a rescued cat to keep her company and the 2 of them are getting along quite splendidly.
Abby

Abby /is a delightful and tiny blue merle sheltie whose previous owners loved her but were unable to keep her. She is now doted on by a new family whose senior sheltie just passed away. They have had 4 previous shelties, mostly rescues, and so we know that Abby is in good hands. Abby loves to play and walk with her new family and apparently sleeps on their bed, while the cats sleep in her bed. Abby has many fans in her new neighbourhood.
Metairie
Metairie has been adopted to a delightful young family who have helped her blossom into a very happy little dog. She is very gentle with children and is thrilled to be living with her own 2 little girls, as well as a cat and 2 adults.
Kenner
Kenner has been adopted to a very active family and he is enjoying regular walks and helping with the gardening. He lives with several cats and he is hoping that one day they will actually play with him. His family is now planning to adopt another rescue sheltie in the near future.
Keisha
Keisha is now living with several other shelties and having so much fun playing with them and going for long walks each day. She will soon be going to obedience classes and then will try out agility. Keisha is a very social gal and loves everyone she meets.
Bayley
Bayley got in trouble when he decided to chase cows on his
farm. Luckily he was brought into our programme before being shot!
While in foster care, Bayley was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease
(Dermatomyositis) while with ASR. Luckily a wonderful couple fell in
love with him and he enjoys life with them and a sheltie brother. He
has a winning personality and his family are quite willing to help him
with any health issues that arise. What a lucky boy!
Shadow
When Shadow initially came
into rescue who was extremely afraid of new people and situations. He
had been badly neglected in a previous home. Shadow has come such a
long way and now lives with a couple who are quite happy to help him
gain confidence. He loves going for walks around the neighbourhood and
visits several seniors each day.
Banner
Banner has found a home with a senior gentleman whose former sheltie recently passed away. Banner's new dad is helping Banner blossom into a much more confident fellow. Banner is very affectionate with 'his' people and loves to snuggle on the couch with his new dad. " At long last Banner is living the life he so deserves
Lucky Angel

Lucky Angel is thrilled to be living with her new family. She has another sheltie and a teenage boy to play with! She especially loves going on frequent off-leash walks with her family as she loves to meet other dogs and play. Lucky Angel is another velcro dog who loves to snuggle up to her people
